I didn't see any bargains there

provisional sale is just a basis for negotiation - means next to nothing

buyer's premium is a ripoff

and auctions are all rigged anyway

whatever you buy a car for from the auction

it will be more than you would have paid if you were one of the inner circle that controls all auctions

The 550 is a good price, but as Gad says after fees etc they don't look that great. Is there VAT to pay on the price, or is that just on the fees ??

Just a question, is it still cheaper "in general" to buy from an auction than from a private sale/dealer?

in general, it still depends on too many factors to answer

cheaper than dealer - should be - that's where dealers buy a high percentage of their stock

but people get carried away at auctions

think they are buying a car with a production figure in the teens

instead of the hundreds of thousands
