Or some c unt who wants to use the road as his/her personal racetrack and thinks that the average road user should accomodate them?
Its the above comment that concerns me. You don't work for the Government or Transport 2000 do you? If somebody wants to drive faster than you why not just let them without getting ar

Why would on-coming cars flashing me have anything to do with brake lights?

[QUOTE=EddandSam,Feb 27 2007, 04:53 AM] Now the lights thing is simple - The are to help you see and help other people see you. Its a matter of you personal judgement when you put them on - end of!

What's that then?
There is SOME reason people are flashing you to the point you claim.
There is a trend in the North of the country for people to drive slowly on open roads & flash every car that overtakes them, but it's literally dying out.
I doubt it's the case here.
You're obviously doing something that irritates a lot of people.
On the road I mean, not this thread specifically.

apart from people flashing their lights in the middle of the day for no good reason.
If they are struggling to see you then I think a friendly flash to try and get across the message you are in danger of not being seen is no bad thing

You didn't make it particularly clear whether the cars were oncoming or not. In fact, your references to cars going faster than you indicated they were flashing you from behind. And there's really no need to be so aggresive when someone is trying to help.
I would say someone flashing me is the first point of aggression? Especially when it has everything to do with how they think others should be behaving.

There is some rust on the front of it, although with closing speeds this can't be a factor. The car is unecesarily ugly and dirty, again wouldn't have thought that someone hard of eyesight would get the hump over that? Too slow, oncoming so irrelevant, hang on.........
..nope just checked, no dead Policemen or politicians under the car, no oil, no fire, no smoke, water, fluids. Just some insects. And rust. And filth.
No idea
