No doubt I will get flamed... but if the TT is as good a drive as I have been reading, it will be my next car. I want a coupe next, and with the rear seats it fits the bill.
Go for it!

Re-designing a stye icon like the TT was always going to be very difficult, but I think Audi have done a very good job - the new car looks much more modern, and different enough from the old one. And from all the reports so far, it sounds like a much better car to drive.

Hopefully fairly early on they will come out with some lighter sportier versions, like they did to the end of the current TT's life - they could be seriously decent cars.

I'd also be interested to learn about their roadster, when it gets released..

The new TT is still basically a fwd car though. I'm sure I read the torque split was something like 90/10 front/rear

I'd be very surprised, considering the recent ethos of Audi in cars like the RS4 is to go for a 40:60 F:R split

I thought Plato did an interesting review of the Brooke Double R.

The new TT jut looks like a desperate rehash of a classic shape. It's just the old one with the new corporate nose, with the rest of the car a skewed and squashed version of the old shape.

Had to agree with his opinions of it as a road car. Still want one though

85/15, except when the diff senses more is needed elsewhere, I think the review in this month's evo said it was.
Thats what they say 85/15. Although I am still curious about the magnetic damping system, seriously can't we do without such utter cr*p on a road car? Instead of investing god knows how much Euro into magic bubbles how about we get flat undertrays and venturi's that actually work?

<Has never understood why people fall for this techno babble.
