I think that there is something about the rarity of the S combined with its simplistic yet elegant styling that people appreciate even if they don't know what it is.
I've had a couple of unsolicited comments recently from random people. One was from a nice lady who parked next to me in her Integra and said she wanted one...an S2000 I mean.

The other was from the lady in the service station kiosk at the services on the M5, who said it was a lovely car.

I had similar with a guy in a 360 CS.

I kept up for a short time, then it left me.

The chap wound the window down at the lights and said he was impressed how it kept up to about 60 odd.

I think you're onto something there.

Had an old dear do the same and go on about how good the Honda engine was in her late husband's Rover 200 that she had to sell after his death and didn't get much but wasn't bothered really...
