You want to tell me how that works? I'm an Oracle guy which makes me a dinosaur and not too savvy on this UK proxy thing. What few brain cells are still firing I use to spell Oracle. But would greatly appreciate some setup[ instructions for that!

A proxy is a server through which your internet connection is deemed to come from. Therefore if you can find a proxy server based in the UK, when you access the ITV website through that proxy the ITV website will believe you are coming from the UK and will stream the video to you.
Your next question will be difficult to answer (for me anyway) ... where do I find a UK proxy server? ... then perhaps google might be able to help?

You can make your own using someones PC and TVersity, although perhaps a little complex.
I would have said RDP, it's just too slow.

Was worth watching. With the rain at the start and the lower temperatures, they all seemed to be struggling to keep the cars on the road. So hopefully that'll continue all weekend - should be interesting.
