F1: Italian GP thread
The usual suspects seem a bit slow off the mark for this round of the F1 calendar so I'll get the ball rolling.
First practice session times for the Italian Grand Prix
1. Kimi Raikkonen (Finland) Ferrari 1 min 22.446 secs
2. Felipe Massa (Brazil) Ferrari 1:22.590
3. Lewis Hamilton (Britain) McLaren 1:22.618
4. Fernando Alonso (Spain) McLaren 1:22.840
5. Nico Rosberg (Germany) Williams - Toyota 1:23.472
6. Jenson Button (Britain) Honda 1:23.668
7. Giancarlo Fisichella (Italy) Renault 1:23.671
8. Robert Kubica (Poland) BMW Sauber 1:23.703
9. Nick Heidfeld (Germany) BMW Sauber 1:23.886
10. Jarno Trulli (Italy) Toyota 1:23.965
A pleasantly surprising performance from Button, albeit I think we all know that the first practice session can through up a few strange results. Fingers crossed it bodes well for something better from Honda in the subsequent sessions and the Gp itself.

I'm sure Alonso will be pleased to have been faster than Hamilton for once....
A return to normal service seems to be in the offing for Honda, but 13th and 15th is still quite a bit better than they've been managing of late. Looking at Button's time, he's only actually 3/10ths behind the Ferrari.
