Don't write Massa off just yet. He has the points and the car to mount a serious challenge.
Massa has reached the highest he will get in the championship. It's Raikonnen's to lose now as far as I'm concerned. He's stronger over all the remaining races than Massa. Massa is doing way better than i expected him to this year without TC though so fair play to him.

Anyone more F1 than me know where the car is losing time? Is it still the down force issue of years a go or is the wee Honda V8 outta puff???
I don't think even Honda know what's wrong. They do seem to have slumped since the engines were homologated, so they must have gone wrong somewhere with their design.

It just doesn't seem to be good in a straight line, or in either low or high speed corners. Ever since DR and Willis, then handed over the reigns to that spastic Jap boat designer, they have been all at sea.

Oh, and I reckon Heikki's championship fight starts here.

First place?

I have a feeling Raikonnen will start to fight back now, but he needs to be consistently putting in the wins. Massa is definitely delivering, and I don't really understand why many think he isn't a contender.

I think tomorrow will turn out to be between Hamilton and Raikonnen though.

Can't help wondering if he will soon call it a day.
Despite Ross Brawn at the helm I have no confidence that Honda will make it next year or ever.
He's made a few bob or two & perhaps he should cut his losses. Time ie age is not on his side either.
I'm sure he would get some associated motor racing work to keep him occupied.
Don't think he would make it as a commentator though, voice too dull.

More cack from ITV, apparently the wind caused Hamilton to go off in his first qualifying. Funny how the team radio were advising him not to overdrive
More cack from Hamilton you mean - he really is a prat.

Show me where Hamilton blamed the wind please ?

It was Steve Rider or one of the other ITV presenters that claimed it was the wind, when Hamilton was interviewed by Louise Goodman he said that he lost it due to oversteer.

The rule changes will certainly help Honda.

The rocking of the boat and the big shakeups have not had the desired effect.

But now that they have their chosen people, I really think they can achieve.

Stick with the topic will you, there is a thread for hamiltons haters here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=607465
I was on topic, complaining about ITV and its coverage, not Hamilton

He made a mistake, as evidenced by the pit radio comment but ITV seems incapable of simply admitting it.

If you bother to read that thread, you'll see I'm broadly supportive of Hamilton, but I can't stand the ITV sycophancy and bollox talking.

Yeah, it's pissing it down here and I'm around 85 miles due south of Silverstone. Let's hope this keeps up, it should make for an interesting race indeed.

Looking at the BBC's satelite predictions it's going to rain hard at Silverstone up until around 1300/1400 then it's going to be lots of localised heavy showers.
