I have recently been go karting and discovered I am a driving God. ;-)

Ok so I am not but they were very controlable in oversteer. I have an r300 that doesn't get out that much and has so much grip that i can't get it sideways on her majesty's roads.

I started wondering if there is a daily driver that can be regularly driven with a bit of oversteer?

Skinny tyres on my Caterham would probably do it but it isn't a daily driver.

The Lichfield supercharged gt86 looks interesting maybe an mx5 with a bit more poke?

Has anyone owned a car that fits the bill?

I have an E92 M3 which will happily get it's arce out under provocation and with TC off

Especially on winter tyres in Sport mode! Like a Mk1 Escort.

I'm not sure the Lichfield isn't missing the point, slightly; It is like the S2000; great fun at (relatively) legal speeds and too much power & grip may defeat the object.

Too much oversteer and the state thugs will treat you like a paedophile, though. So go carefully!

I'm tempted to look at the Lichfield brz nick. From all the reports it seems to retain the net balance of grip to power which is so fantastic in the standard car, just at a higher level. ( if that makes a y semblance of sense)

I loved the brz when I had a go in one - just wish it had another 30bhp with the standard balance.

I'm tempted to sack off my company 330d and get one.

Also do you like the sound generator?

Nissan 200sx/Silvia's, 350z, 370z, Skyline gts-t/GTT. That's just some of the Japanese car options, there is plenty of euro stuff that have similar abilities.

I can understand that - I doubt the extra power (and some Yoko Advans!) would destroy it.

The sound generator is quite fun - better to have the induction noise piped into the cabin than to do something stupid like take an airbox cover off & destroy what little power the car has. I believe that bit disappears in the conversion (IIRC).

Get a Frazer Nash. There's a reason they're known as the last of the late brakers. With a solid back axle you've a choice of slow and steady, under steer like a mother or hoon in like you're suicidal stamp on the anchors and get the tail out and under power ASAP to drive you into the apex

Ok, you're buying a 1930s thoroughbred and need well over 60k to buy one but you'll certainly learn about oversteer

Oh and I take liberties in my gt86 that I wouldn't have considered in the s and it is an easy daily driver
