it's fun to flaunt your money at the peasants sometimes

and some people aren't remotely concerned about their driving ability

Nothing wrong with that at all, as long as they don't hold up us peasants in our jalopies on our way to our next crash

It's an old one that, but one of my favourite S2000 vids.

There's always significant disparity in driver ability at any trackday, but even without the Ferraris, that makes a good S2000 clip ...

Classic vid that, it's been around for a while but I never tire of it.

I think the driver is Italian and the car is pretty heavily modded. Still a top driver tho. There are quite a few of his vids knocking around.

I know which car I'd rather be in tho

He does seem to be a bit tasty from some of his footage.

Ferrari drivers are often totally rubbish though

Probably true.

Seen it happen a lot though.

Funny though how the old fart in the 911 always looks so miserable when he's overtaken by practically everything though! Or is looking miserable part of the buyer psyche as I suspect?
I'm sure it does

maybe for those miseries, driving performance matters?

can't understand it myself

(although I can't help laughing when I think of the usual standard of S2000 driver performance - the poor sods can't keep them on the road, let alone a track)

If this is the guy I'm thinking of, the car is heavily modded. There's footage of him going around Monza going past Porkers and other exotica.

Also - have you ever tried driving a 360 fast around a track? It's not easy.

Something like, loads of grip, loads of grip, loads of grip, no grip whatsoever, armco.

you don't need straights to blow hatchbacks and the like into the weeds

on average roads, if you discount local knowledge and traffic, power is everything

and on track, I'm reliably informed that monster power inputs regularly destroy better handling cars....

even tracks have straight bits and only one or two hairpins
