The best thing to do if you feel a bit arrogant when parking across two spaces is buy two tickets. Worth the extra quid or so aint it! But guarantee youd get someone parking right next to you anyway.

Actually, it's cars that are too fat!
I understand that garages, parking spaces, etc are made to building regs. recommendations. They have completely ignored how wide cars now are:
IIRC, the 1st Ascona was ~ 1600mm, the latest Vectra is ~1800mm. The doors are thicker too, and a parking space is about 2000mm.

Wrong topic Cheshire, or is it me? lol
Hmmm...i guess so Richie...but most cars have a door check-strap - i guess if there was enough room to open to that width (which is usuallly enough for average person to get in/out off).... Wishful thinking eh?!
The number of times i've popped to Tesco (its only round the corner), couldnt find a decent parking space, and gone home cos i wasn't gonna risk a dent in the S for a pint of milk...

I couldn't care less about the difficulty some people have parking
if that makes me selfish, fine. I can live with that guilt.
if it's that difficult to get about, I have to wonder if some of these people are really fit to be on the road
as for taking your kids to the shops - get a life! is that some peoples' idea of a day out?

a lot of people simply don't see it as an issue... they are simply blind to the wake they cause on society as they sail through life..
like today..guy from work gets out of his Voyager bus thing parked next to me.. whilst gabbling to "mummy" on his mobile as he opens his door..and manages to knock his door into my wing mirror with enough force to knock it back..
does not even blink.. the event never happened for him.. was totally shocked when I pointed it out.. "how did that happen then??"

See, that gets right on my tits. Its the 'couldn't give a shit' attitude that does me. Now, if the geezer had apologised & if any damage was aparent, offered to sort it then fine, but no. He is asking for the nut to be stuck on him. Tosser!
Gad. Consider me hired mate. I assume LL will act for me in any legal capacity i may require should a chav get his just desserts at some point.
