If you drive lots of different cars, you'll be familiar with the frustration of not remembering which side of the car the fuel filler is located
(Yes, I know hoses reach across but that's more of a pain)
Well, if you look at your fuel guage, you'll often see there's a symbol of a fuel pump
The side of the pump with the hose matches the side your car has the fuel cap!
I know it's hard to believe, but I've just checked it on six different cars/makes
I wish I could claim the credit for this, but I read it in a magazine...
Is it true for the S - I don't have one to check

my Volvo actually has an LED arrow.. can't believe I actually look at this each time I pull up..
my general rule of thumb is jap cars seem to be on the opposite side to continental designed cars..

Its absolutely NOT true. I checked this out a while back. My beater is a Seat Toledo and that doesn't apply to the rule.
