What point are you trying to make Gad?
If you want to compare the two cars...
The ZR-1 is obviously another stunning car.
Although I'm slightly less impressed in it's Ring exploits which look like they are attributed to power more than handling when compared to the GTR.
Looks wise. The GTR looks "functional", which I can live with it. The Vette looks like a Vette... never been my taste.
I've also seen a price for over a

I was just playing the arse, but like you dislike the US cars, I really can't get excited for the StiEvo format cars, no matter how spectacular they are. A bit OT, so...
BTW are you a local trinidadian?

Gad's correct:
There's been a lot of this on several car websites; particularly US ones, where playing Top Trumps is the measure of everything.
It's not been picked up over here because;
Blind prejudice against Corvettes; they may be GM, but like big Opels they (were) pretty effective.
We don't really place the same importance on the numbers; I'm sure some yanks will have committed suicide because their slushbox has one less ratio than their rival's.
We're not quite as excited by Nissans and Accurists as the Septics are; again, they're disregarded as a bit Asian, whereas only a Porsche is a true sign of nobility. Car mag is quite hilarious with its sycophancy, where anything NOT AMG/Audi/BMW/Porsche must be a Dacia Sandero.

For the road, at least in the UK, the performance of all of these cars is pretty irrelevant.
Even in something as relatively slow as an S2000, one can rarely use all of the performance (I rarely drive over 90mph) although the acceleration can be useful at times.
What it's really about is how much fun is involved, something the S2000 has in spades.
I'm sure both the GTR and ZR1 are fun too.

BTW, I have elsewhere pointed out that engineers focussing too much on 'Ring lap times might compromise a car's everyday useability.
I mean, how many GT5000/GT-R/ZR-1 owners will appreciate those last few seconds (many owners couldn't get anywhere near close!) shaved off and would appreciate a tad less NVH instead?
It was LJKS' opinion that the NSX-R version totally ruined the NSX, for exactly that reason!

But the Corvette is ultimately faster
That sounds so much better than fast
And worse when the car you ordered USED TO BE fastest
