Default Corvette ZR-1 hammers GTR ring time

It did

So why all the fuss and attention being lavished on the GTR?

The Corvette is clearly the better car

Isn't it?

It's certainly faster

Well, if it's anything like the Z06, it'll be a crap road car. It may not be though. Supposedly the road manners of the GT-R are good.

The other thing is the playstation generation loves skylines, but over here we're still down on anything american.

so a lot of it is psychology and heritage.

I actually prefer it to the GT-R.

But then the thought of a big V8 and a blower makes me happy.

If you watch the vid, he get a few of the lines wrong and is short shifting through areas too. A quicker time will be soon no doubt.

It's upset the GT-R boys about as much as the GT-R upset the 911 boys.

Lots of toys out the pram, "must be special tyres", "not a real sportscar" and "I'd never own a Corvette" comments.

Before you read the following comment, I'd rather have the corvette. Probably, but then again, that might be because I'm heading to the ring in about 5 hours

Look at the pic, there is no way that suspension is going to be comfortable, it's obviously been set up just to do well at the ring/track.

No, I mean the car is as standard set up to do well at the ring/track.

I'm not sure how you can draw those conclusions from the picture

My beemer has a much higher ride height and is still pretty uncomfortable on less than good surfaces

It looks awesome. LHD only will put people here off though. I doubt it is comfortable and it certainly will not be quiet inside.
