Company Car Schemes
New job sorted and the family owned business are massively in to their cars.
So I'm planning on getting "creative" with the company car package.
I've had tooo many co cars over the years but always paid far too much tax on them.
I was wondering what "creative" schemes are out there and in use by other companies!
Tell me about yours please!

It depends on the mileage you need to cover.
I've never looked back since I opted out. Granted I don't have to travel regular long distances for work but the choice between a Peugeot / Ford / Vauxhall or

I reckon on 25/30k year
I see it as an oppurtunity to partially fund a Q car I can enjoy that sort of mileage and keep the S.

Our car scheme is very good... here goes!
Summary:
The company operates an employee ownership car scheme. The scheme has been designed to offer maximum choice, at equal or less cost to the employee than a traditional company car.
Under the scheme, an employee purchases a car through a Credit Sale Agreement (CSA) with Masterlease, the Company

I've asked Mrs aldfort as it's her job.
Generally she say for a petrol head the less miles you do the better off you are opting out. However the breakover (depending on car) is around 30k miles according to her.
Some points she says to take account of
The more the CO2 the better off you are opting out
The more freedom the cash for car option allows the better off you are opting out. (apparently some are restrictive i.e. must buy 4 door etc)
The less miles you do the better off you are opting out. (it's all to do with residuals)
The more desirable the car (residuals again) the better off you are opting out.
If you can buy one or two year old car the better off you are opting out.

Aldfort - it is scheme specific though...
For me, it only becomes beneficial to opt out at <12k miles per annum.
CO2 makes very little difference in our scheme, although with the higher VED rates the
