Have been at a Honda Conference for past 2 days listening to all the usual stuff that you get bombarded with, but was suprised to be given the following info on the CTR Mugen. The engine takes two Mugen engineers 7 days, working full 12 hour days, to hand build.
Car has been tested at Bedford Autodrome against its rivals, lap times
1. Mugen Civic. 1-25.6
2. Megane R26R. 1-26.1
3. Golf R32. 1-27.6
4. Focus RS. 1-27.8
I agree its a Honda test so is probably bias, but i just thought it was an interesting claim, im not familiar with the Autodrome so unsure what lap times to expect.

Still alot of money for less than a second advantage over the R26R if those times are to be believed. So have any sold yet, are Bristol doing an S2000 and buying up all 20 cars then
The only test I would be interested to see is the JDM RR FD2 against the UK FN2 Mugen RR.

The price is mega in my opinion but hey ho.
Order bank is not yet open so none sold, if dealers are allowed to order stock i will be suprised, i think it will be firm & confirmed retail orders only.
We do have a couple of people making noises but no deposits to my knowledge.

Wonderful, just another teaser...
Amazing how Honda screws us over here on this side of the pond
We can't have the Accord Tourer, let alone a Civic Type R, and for sure, never a Mugen tweaked Civic Type R
Congrats to you guys
Wake up Honda...

When you pay $10 a gallon for fuel, and every single mod costs you twice as much as it does now, i'll start to feel sympathy
Your S2000 is a superior vehicle - suspension, drive, engine all are better than the silly rip-off Mugen Civic.
