Default Charging a car battery

Is it liable to cause an explosion if I trickle charge a car battery in my utility room (where the gas boiler is).

It's a modern sealed battery, just a thought that crossed my mind with batteries producing explosive gases when being charged... Is this an issue with sealed batteries though?

Thanks.

They produce Hydrogen when charging.
Hydrogen diluted in air at the right ratio will explode with even a small spark.
Remember to disconnect the power before disconnecting the terminal clips just in case.
Batteries are time bombs and can do serious damage to you.
