So as I was in full control it's not going to be a problem then presumably?
I was convinced that both drinking and eating behind the wheel were offences. I've tried to Google the article about the woman drinking whilst stationary but if you type "drinking" and "driving" in the same search all the returns you get are alcohol based.
Ah well, thanks for putting me right.

I'd be very surprised if anyone ever got done for drinking from a bottle whilst driving.
A hot/open cup of coffee maybe at a push, but as far as I know there's no law against it.
A without due care etc. would be a tough one to make stick.
Especially while car manufacturers are still installing cars with radios, Sat Navs, glove boxes, CD holders, Cup holders, passenger seats and anything else that could possibly be a distraction to the driver.

You would be done for it if you'd be captured speeding in a pic and visibly seen eating/drinking. You would probably get 10-15 years for doing 35mph and drinking lucozade. Let that be a lesson to you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the vans record all the time, as opposed to only turning on when the laser detects someone speeding

The vans do yes, but do you think they're going to sift through every second of footage and wait to catch people drinking lucozade?
Suspect the system flags any speeding motorists, and they ditch the rest.
