Cars you have bought and still have
I am interested to hear any stories of people who have bought nice cars and kept them long term. I remember an Aston ragtop being purchased, I think it was Mikey and wondered if he still had it. Gad and his M5, MarkB and the Exige.
You get the idea. Any longterm ownerships on here? (automotive love affairs, etc).

I thought you had one longterm Steve. That's cool. Does BSM still have his? Raises another interesting question, ie, longest owned S. I would get one in a shot as you get so much for little money.

Personally, had the Cayman for 4 and half years so far, expect to keep it for another few years yet unless a lottery windfall comes along.
My father had a Renault 18 Turbo for 18 years, it had done 180,000 miles.

Slumming it in a Cayman
I have been slumming it in an A2 for 7 years now :
Thank heavens that I am back on the ladder again. Couple of years and I will be sat in something decent with luck.

I've still got an MGB I bought in 1988 - that might take a bit of beating although MQ's husband could obviously do it (not a member though )
I'm far from in love with the car and would sell it tomorrow if offered enough for it. Posts like this remind me to get rid of it.
I have difficulty feeling affection for people sometimes so have no understanding of feeling any similar emotion for a collection of metal and plastic.
