This weekend I have a Ferrari 458 on loan, its simply stunning. I was happy with my 911 until this bloody thing arrived..... It is technology, and pants wetting combined !!
bring it to the Blubird tomorrow

I'll buy the tea

DC2 Integra. Loved ours, but have no desire to replace it with another one. We sold it last March.

When you're in the mood one of the best, when you're not - pretty horrible.

Holy thread revival Batman....

I feel privileged to have cherished and owned a 1.9 205 gti lback in 2000-2001. Bloody excellent drive that thing, I felt like such a lucky bastard driving it to work.
About 3 years later, and £15k spunked, I was in my first S2000 and was on top of the world. Still have that feeling today about my 06 reg... Special cars these Hondas...
Plenty other cars yet - might chance an Alfa Quadrifoglio at some point, Exige / Evora. TVR Tamora is on the wish list.

I don't share the desire for the big, heavy hitters

They are silly fast without the sensation of speed really. My old M3 felt like it was doing 90 at 150. The Dorris, who pootles along, had us doing 110 back from Cornwall once by complete accident
But Caterhams, bikes.. that end is where I'm at. Driven an Atom which was ropey and it put me off but would like to try the V8 or a turbo one
Exige and Elise too
drove a Gallardo (really shit), a 458 (gorgeous, too fast for the road and very capable), 911 (bored me)

We had three 205 GTIs - one 1986 charcoal 1.6, one red 1989 red 1.9 and one black 1990 black 1.9 classic sport - last one being unusual with leather seats and wooden steering wheel. They were fun then but a bit of a rattling tin can by modern standards. I do not understand the prices they sell for now.

It's pure nostalgia I think.

just get a ****ing caterham, it's 10x the car a 205 is and cheaper
on topic I recently watched this
Ridiculous

I quite like the old 182 but the appeal is decent motor, light weight same as the pug and that is all.

realistically I know they are much better cars out there than a leggy old renno

On the right road though, 205s are quite involving like an Ep3 but lower power - the featheweight makes up for it.
I was gonna say a Trophy 182 would be on my wish list, however these are destined for silly money. Already over 10k for a decent one, if not more.... I reckon these will be old M3 money in 5 years
