Looks like a good job on the paint

Always nerve wracking when you get it back from the painter for a first inspection

I agree. I have been asking everyone at work but came up with zero recommendations. People are either not into cars or not had anything done recently.

Used a place in the city for an issue with the S and the results were average but this guy has worked on some exotica so it was a punt. it looks lovely in the flesh though. Very happy as it looked very tatty to me

So, as predictable as it is annoying my throttle actuator failed today after just 34k miles (albeit car is 9 later this year)

does nothing for my feelings about the car tbh. My only issue is being unsure what to swap it for...

anyway, its a common issue, gears wear in the shitty dbw actuator (who even wants that ffs!), this causes electrical overload of the controller board which the ecu spots and spits its dummy out over resulting in random errors, a 4k redline and an engine light

Oh ane an impending bill...

more to follow

grumpy...

Have a look at BMW Throttle Actuator Repair | 100% Guarantee

He comes to your house and replace your actuators for peanuts compared to BMW

Guys on the M3 facebook thing are all positive about him

I'm waiting for mine to go but so far it's ok, on 46k now
