not quite - my fault with cut and paste - but not far off

oil, air filter (£25) and microfilters (£20).

seriously. they are milking their idiot customers. i bought the oil and argued the price to half

but hey, you get a pack of BMW mints and a bottle of water.. oh and a BM pencil. seriously.

Did I drop acid in my breakfast, or did you really type that?

If so, I'd say there's one born every minute. But clearly it's more than that due to the amount of Bavarian Cortinas you see everybloodywhere.

Stop the world; I wanna get off.

My last service on the M3 was £950. It did include spark plugs and diff oil though.

I didn't have to haggle them down because my service pack paid for all of it, even new windscreen wipers!

After sept 16 I'll have to start paying for the services so I'm glad you're posting what it's cost you so far so I've got a bit of an idea

So they sell you an overpriced service pack so they can get away with charging £950 to the people who skimmed you for the service pack - something is not quite right there.

The price if the service pack is quite a lot less than if you were to add all services up from the first 5 years.

It was already there on mine when I bought it but if I were to buy a new one I'd definitely add it.

My M6's last service cost less than £300 including pollen filters and £150 of oil!

Until the £14k gearbox explodes I'm quietly confident that the car won't ruin me.

Now why on earth did I just write that...?!?!

When you ask them what they are doing for £950 they look sheepish as a paedo at a sports day

And yes Nick, its hilarious, they massage your ego (if you're an idiot) with a valet style service then it turns out all they are doing is charging £350 for oil which costs you £80 at ECP

But there's a clear cartel here as Stratstone quoted within £30

That assumes it needs an annual service
My 135i has one service in 38k miles over 18 months, prompted by the onboard computer
I inherited the service pack
Once the warranty is out I'll go to a local specialist indie just so it gets a stamp when required

i do not trust those service intervals. especially on the M when not running their warranty on that glorious(ly expensive and potentially a bit fragile) engine

JMRGV - don't worry, you can get a knicked one for 25% of that
