I think i will Chesh but i've decided right now isn't the time. I have a bit of time left on my current contract and i'm pretty busy atm, want to take my time over the next purchase so i think next summer will suit me better. Unless they bin me off before then.

Just paid off the mortgage this year and want to keep my tax bill low till april

Plan is next car is nearly new and a keeper, like the S2

Plus i dont think i'd enjoy it is as much over the next few months, this is a better commuter for sure

2 x 265/35ZR19 98Y MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORT @ £293.51 per tyre

Ooof

Other than that its behaviour this time of year i'd miss most i think, it seems to just shrug off shit weather and i'm sure round a track the advantage would double vs an S2000. Very sure footed and a nice place to be.
Snap. 4 x the same on M270 wheels (but 18") just arrived from Germany. £300/corner and 6mm tread.

However I am wondering about my decision not to SORN in view of NIP for 81 mph on the A14 also just arrived

Take care jacking up the back end. Mixed views on supporting on the diff, but there is a place just aft of the fins. Not like a Lotus CC!

I don't think my trolley jack would lift an m3.

I think its about 1600kg wet through with a good balance so only 4-500kg per corner

Event will do the jacking, I have one of those hard rubber inserts though as it sat in my garage while the wheels were refurbed.

You should get the council estate eisenman Rog, sounds so much better if a bit loud at cold start

Well, everyone seems to be posting an update so here's mine.

Costs so far

Insurance £750
Belt & Inspection £240
Warranty £630
Tyres £600
Wheel refurb £180
Gearknob £70
Tax £490
OEM modded exhaust £260

£3.2k in 18 months plus depreciation of around £6k est not terrible

I'm loving the car as a winter motor. The freds are good, the heated seats are amazing and it remembering settings when i get out for 5 mins is a nice touch. Its been a bumpy road this far in terms of my thoughts about it his car. I seriously pondered the Alfa 4C but those lights... What the f@#k where they thinking?

I have canned any plans for now, i'm happier with it than i've ever been and i dont think i could get a better car for the next 3/4 months

Good to hear that Jason. I like the winter stuff too and just had the winter tyres/wheels fitted which nicely quietens the ride being on 18s. Still firm up and down but doesn't shake your tits from side to side. My local dealer waived charges for swapping the wheels so my total costs after 15 months

Insurance £830 (2 years)
Warranty £945 (15 months)
Winter wheels/tyres £1150
Oil service £280
MOTs £90 (2 years)
Tax £970 (2 years)
Black grill £75 I think

So £4.2k in 18 months of which 3 were SORN'd plus depreciation £8k. This is a July 09 but DCT adds a bit and I wouldn't be without it. Might do the backyard exhaust; Superchip. Will change to 18s in graphite in the coming summer as there is little tread left on my 19s but I am at 22k miles so gentler than yow. Always assuming the Road Angel which Santa is bringing does the trick

£4 of fuel or so on top? Weird that servicing is half that of VED but that will change as it ages.

Does not compute. Why should tax bear any relation to servicing costs
