Trying to put my finger on what I'm not getting from it

The gearbox is crap, no doubt of that but I think it's too heavy for me. That might be the crunch.

I think I'll test drive some ideas when I'm off in a few weeks...

Had the wheels refurbed this week

been pondering what was frustrating me about the car and i think it's attempts to be all things to all men in some ways, ironic really.

it has a few things which affect refinement, for example the light flywheel and clutch make for a noisey combination, the harsh ride and the slow witted 'box
but these things are all to the benefit of performance, bar the shite box which i'm more and more convinced was an afterthought with all the dev being toward delivering that technical masterpiece of DCT. And there's maybe the issue, when i want it to be refined it's not so refined and when i want a sports car sometimes i can feel it's heft.

anyway, i've decided to hang on in there as it is good family transport and feels solid as a tank and i've not come up with an alternative other than 2 separate cars so far

C63?

Can't think of a more affordable family car with some bad manners under the hood.
Other than the aforementioned VXR8 which is a little lacking in the tech department lets be honest.

They were a weird grey, looked shit. I couldn't think of another colour which would suit

C63 not for me, golf club styling inside. I pondered something mundane and an exige

I just leased a CR-V for £237 a month.. if it's mundane you are after, it doesn't get more practical and dull than that!

Loving the M3 by the way... if only hey!
