I'm generally anti Automatic, but the DCT on and M3 or GTR would be a must as it sort of compliments the car. Even PDK on a porker is impressive.

On the really fast stuff now I think you need it. IMO its what made the Standard Evora so nicely balanced for me, but the S version almost too quick for a manual - it sort of inhibits the pace. I guess the manual has come a long way, but the shift in the E46 328 beater I had was awful.

Good price drop on the M3 I linked earlier. The force is strong!

Just noticed it's mineral rather than Alpine too, which is a nice metallic.

Only just noticed?! Yes, takes the edge off stark white nicely.

Your description 'almost too quick for a manual' says it very well. In your mind too much when pushing on in the manual M3, I found, is the thought of reaching for the next large-movement gear change. Unlike the S2000. The precision, short throw and dependability of gear changes makes that part of the exercise come 'automatically' in an S.

edit: A realistic approach from this advertiser. No takers I would guess at his first asking so he has come down. This will sell. Enthusiastically driven car I would say: I am on at least 1k more miles and still got 3-4mm on the rears.

It need not be a lot to change, you got this for a bargain in the first place and, shifted quickly, you won't lose much if at all. BMW AUC database doesn't keep any history of sold prices, as far as I know, and yours was worth another £2k maybe. Advertise for £29,850 ovno I kept hold of my manual convertible too long and even then only dropped a few £k in a year, for my fully-optioned coupe DCT which will hold its value better especially with my relatively low mileage.

p.s. didn't get those granite tiles in the end, too many special cuts needed which can only be done by them at the works, so too much risk and also the delays. But I will be back that way, many friends and rellies Derbyshire way, not to mention the roads

Nudge me when you're over, we can have a v8 debate
I'm switching between the two cars daily, it really highlights the differences, the S, well mine, has proper wooden brakes vs the M.

Nice. The old one looks spookily like an E46 one I had in a 328i M Sport though!
