I like to see Saab survive.....I wouldn't be bothered about GM collapsing.... and an added benefit would the the disappearance of all that Vauxhall rubbish.

Only since those idiots at GM took over. They didn't always own them, and when they were independent their cars were innovative and interesting and had an excellent sporting heritage. GM getting hold of them was a tragedy.

Vauxhall dealers and cars should be outlawed.

I agree on Holden.

Poor buggers - fecked by GM, then Keonigsssss, then Spyker and now Bernie

I'd like to see them survive.
My pre GM 93 Hirsch was a great car other than the understeer.
We need quirky innovators like Saab used to be!

Sadly, the days of the great innovators are long gone. Citroen, Lancia et al...

It's pretty clear that now Government Mess has all of SAAB's technology, they are keen to close it down.

As for the promotion to level of max incompetence amongst GM lifers, don't get me started...

Realistically, they should close SAAB, but there is quite a lot of interest in buying it. Despite GM's damage, there is a small but loyal SAAB fan base. As a Fern company, GM COULD offload it, like they pretended to want to with Opel/Vauxhall (in order to sucker Oh Bummer into hading over dough).

Pontiac was a division of GM since the 1920s and is far too integrated to sell. They tried to offload Saturn (a GM f uckup brand invented in the 1980s to tackle all the goddam fern motors bought by yuppies) to Roger Penske. But there was NFW he could make it work selling Reno/Samsungs & came to his senses.

What GM doesn't want is SAAB as a successful yerpean competitor to GME!
