I have always had a thing for Rover 75 CDTI's, i like them

Surely they should be available high mileage for around 1k?

Ooh no terrible cars. I had the unpleasant experience of having to drive one of those for a year with work. It still gives me nightmares now, just about everything you could imagine going wrong with a car, it did it in that year!

a couple of previous employers used to get 75s as hire cars back in the day.

they aren't very good at all.

my previous employers that is, the Rover is a deathtrap.

I think a Civic would be a very good bet.

Some thing Jap will be cheap to keep.

the value is in bigger engined cars

they are also more likely to have lots of toys and be a generally nicer place to be than a hatch

a small, cheap car is not somewhere I would want to spend much time

That's kind of what I was thinking Pete.

Have my eye on a Saab 9000 Turbo at the minute.
