The Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, called off the Bahrain GP and testing due to be held next month today due to the problems in Bahrain.

Hardly surprising given the huge amount of negative PR that would come with major corps and teams effectively sponsoring the Bahrani monarchy but I am not sure if an entire race weekend has ever been cancelled in recent years? If ever??

So first race Melbourne, as it should be anyway!

Well...a victory for common sense

 

Couldn't see how it could go any other way..........

 

I couldnt see how they could make any other decision. F1 are talking about rescheduling later but it will be hard work for the teams to squeeze in another race at the end of the season as they'll be pretty much back to back weekends.

 

A few tanks and protesters on the track might have made the race a bit more exciting

 

Shit track and usually a shit race too.

Let's hope they take it of the calendar permanently.

 

The only place I can see them moving it to is the August break, but I highly doubt that will happen.

As LTB says, its a rubbish race anyway, soooo boring!

Bring back Imola!

 

And Imola was known for its numerous overtaking manoeuvres...

 

That brings back memories. It was the first race i ever worked at when the team was Jaguar Racing.


The pits looked like something from WW2 and they had holes in the ground for toilets.
