One little point - the missus hasn't driven for 5yrs or so, so she's a bit apprehensive. I'm not overly worried about her in the CTR given I imagine it's a bit of a pussycat when you're not ing? Is this true?

When i was looking for my **cough** cheaper car i test drove the ctr astra vxr and the seat leon cupra R and have to say i love the cupra load of torque and great power / brakes and with remaps so easy and the bulletproof audi s3 engine when its putting out a nice 280bhp it such a fun car

Super car not much more to add other than what has been said.
Position of the gear leaver is ideal (it doesn't look it - but it is!) and the suspension is what I would call unrefined anywhere near potholes or speed bumps. It come into its own own on the twistys

Another honda mad house here! - If you want something a little different go for a DC5 IMO

Red seats, indicators on mirrors, different front valance, lightened flywheel, suspension seems a bit more compliant. Silver trim inside, outside temp gauge. Thats all I can think of right now.

they're ugly though.. the focus st, leon cupra etc are all better looking cars and the cupra's are pretty cheap.
