Another new Lotus owner - K20 powered Elise S1

Where you spun on the first video i had a big moment during a trackday in the winter, it wasnt even wet just damp and cold! Luckily rather than driving skill fixing it the car seemed to sort itself out
Wet days are always abit frustrating as you can never really find out what the car is capable of, you've got to be a top driver to get alot out of a car in the wet!
Videos are good, bet you cant wait for a dry day!

I thought I'd give this a bump.
I've still go the car and its growing on me more and more. The trouble is it is always costing me money haha. Most of it is through choice though.
I've had the whole front end refreshed now. Nothing broke, but I thought some preventative maintenance was worth doing for the fragile radiator, and then the list kept on growing:
New alloy rad
Stainless tow post
new spot lights
completely new head lamp fittings and what not
new heater matrix
faster steering rack
adjustable anti roll bar
The quick rack is amazing. Just how I think the car should have been. The engineers were originally putting a quicker rack on the car and then changed their mind at the last minute. The quicker rack makes the car even more fun.
I got some Avon ZZRs on the car and did my first dry track day the other week All I can say is the car is b**stard quick!! I'm totally addicted now.
The trouble is I got black flagged for noise after about 10-15 laps. I've now spent a ton on the quietest exhaust Larini do, extra layers of silencing etc. However I actually dont think it is any quieter! I'm going to have to get some track day silencer still I think. So that was more money. All part of the fun I guess....
Any way, here was my quickest lap, but I was still getting used to the car being the first time experience track day tyre grip and what the car can do. I went out in a 190bhp s2 exige after and he was braking a good 50-75m later than me, but getting used to how quick these things can stop with some sticky tyres takes some getting used to. Hopefully, next time at Bedford, I'll get a lot more track time in.

I have been lusting after this:
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...-order/4170129
I think the only real thing that is good to have is the performance pack, which this ad has and explains. Lower power ones can easily have the upgrades carried out to get to 260 and I dont think over the years there were major differences or issues. Slightly revised dash panels over the years and different wing and bumpers on the '10s. Im not a guru though on the s2's.
I almost put my s1 up for sale to get the one above but have decided an s1 with the Honda engine is the car for me, so Im keeping it

Or this:

I've seen the car and met the owner a few times, must be one of the best out there.
