haha, thankfully the seats weren't ruined.
I think spec wise the car is almost there. Maybe an oil cooler. I'd love to get it stroked to 2.2 and the compression upped to aim for 280, but that is a lot of money and I would worry about reliability and not being able to just stick another engine in. I'm going to look at fitting the larger intake manifold from the FD2 Type-r and some bigger cams and shoot for 250.
Id also quite like the jap spec 4th, 5th and 6th gears as they are shorter.
Cosmetic wise there is quite a few bits I'd like to do still. I've picked up a Sport 160 spoiler, but that needs painting and the car kitty is empty for the mean time, which isn't any fun.

I'm not sure how that happened, a year has passed!
A quick update for anyone interested. I've not had the chance to do any track days this year as the budget to carry on improving the car, do track days and attend to other priorites meant something had to give. Hopefully next year.
I've been working on tarting the old girl up this year. Its had the following done:
I've got the outside where I want it now. Next year will be refreshing the interior and maybe a louder exhaust

I've been working on tarting the old girl up this year. Its had the following done:
- Side scoops added
- Front lip added and plywood splitter removed
- Genuine Sport 160 spoiler fitted
- Spacers all round, hubcentric ones, 20mm rear, 12mm front with extended studs (I know I know, handling handling, but it just looked too wimpy and there are no after market wheels I fancied apart from £3000 forged TMRs, and I like having a few sets of wheels with different tyres).
- New headlights fitted, I managed to find som more modern looking ones without all the lines on the lens. I had to adapt them slightly but they make the car look so much better.
- Gloss black wrap to the headlight surrounds, front lip, side pods and diffuser blades.
- Wheels repainted from chipped powder coated black to gloss black paint
- Bigger induction kit fitted for even more vtec scream
- I also added a momo wheel that snaps off, making it much easier to get in and out with the roof on
I've got the outside where I want it now. Next year will be refreshing the interior and maybe a louder exhaust
Here's what its looking like now:

Hi
Quite a lot has happened since. I sold the elise at the end of 2016, out of all the people around the country and even europe interesed it actually ended up on the other side of my town!
I got myself an Exige 350 Sport. Such an awesome car, and just a rocket on the road. I havent been doing any more track days, but the V6 is just brilliant on the road with the flat torque curve and the sound of the v6 with the exhaust I have on it rivals even the most expensive super cars
I got that car Jan 2017, and I am just trading it in for my dream car, the Exige 380 Cup. It had been sitting new in the showroom for a year, and I had been dreaming of it ever since seeing it when mine was in for a service. I knew its anniversary was coming up so called the dealer and he wanted it gone and Lotus were stepping in to help take a hit on it (these cars were announced as 60 being made, all ‘sold out’, when really dealers had bought them all and they just sat!). We’ve managed to work a deal out and I’m due to collect in a few weeks!
Here is the new one, ignore the price, I paid SIGNIFICANTLY less

Lovely..
Has it been well behaved and used? (The outgoing one)
The price was silly, good work!
