I know that orange one too. I was on the cusp of buying it before the current owner bought it, 12 months ago.
Warning: 300+bhp Exiges do not come without risk. Certainly not dissing the motor.
They do like to chew powertrains. That one has been upgraded in the dept but be mindful.
The current owner has had the car for a year, maybe slightly less. As I was looking at it, I have kept my eye on it.

I have been lusting after this:

I think the only real thing that is good to have is the performance pack, which this ad has and explains. Lower power ones can easily have the upgrades carried out to get to 260 and I dont think over the years there were major differences or issues. Slightly revised dash panels over the years and different wing and bumpers on the '10s. Im not a guru though on the s2's.
I almost put my s1 up for sale to get the one above but have decided an s1 with the Honda engine is the car for me, so Im keeping it

The s2 thread on here made me think why not make an update.
The car is still going well. It's not missed a beat all year with 6 or 7 track days under its belt and a fair bit of weekend use making the odd hour or two run here and there. I completed its prep for track season with some tasty lightly used Nitrons:
I've given it the odd polish:
Seats have been upgraded to one of only three pairs made by Lotus, fully carbon seats from a prototype evora:
Full carpet added to make it a better place to sit:
The interior still needs more sprucing up, but that will come in good time.
I did a track day at Hethel, that was a lot of fun, as you'd expect the track is great for throwing a car around. Had a bit of a moment hitting the bakes at 130 and not taking the correct line. my later vid shows the correct line after chatting in the pits, come out a little wider and totally straight line the braking. I was doing the chicane after a bit wrong though I think, I need to staight line the first two turns a bit more rather than going deep trying to get the good exit.

One from Bedofrd I like:
Also I've been to the odd car show. This was one at Leeds castle:
I've finished with the track days for the year now. The car needs its first set of front pads after what I think is 8 track days, so I can't complain about that. I also managed to pick up a set of moderately used Avon ZZRs for next year for 250 notes. I don't think track running costs get that much cheaper
Thats it for now I guess

I managed to pick them up for 1100. They are the 46mm 'trackday' spec. I also got some elise-shop spherical bearings put in at the same time. They have made the car a little harsher, cats eyes make a bit of a bang now, but other than that perfectly fine for the road.

What colour is adrenaline?
I see what you did wrong there - that jink comes up well quick, like Wile E Coyote painting a tunnel on a brick wall!
You've got probably the 'perfect'-spec MK1 now! They should all come with K20s...
