if its a beater your looking for go for a late model 155, the twin spark 2 ltr has 155 hp so its not going to impress in power but it handles very well for a puller
if i ever need another beater thats the first one i would go for, the V6 has more grunt but i believe the extra weight spoils the handling

I've done over 60k miles in my 159 2.4 Diesel and its been a good everyday reliable comfortable car, good on the motorways, but there is no way I'd would have a Spider, just too lardy!

Thinking about it, the 105 Giulia was reckoned to be a better car to drive than the 105 Spider. Although the Giulia Junior/Sprint was an excellent coupe.

So there's nothing new, really.

At least if Alfa can continue to improve on the 156/159/replacement success, they might have a future.

And the 159 is at least eye candy compared to the ubiquitous German lumps...

A car that was designed for the poseur, both male and female.
Lovely to look at and be looked at in, but too prissy and pretty to attract the serious and able driver.
It could have been so different, and emulated the success and re-birth of the Maserati brand. After all a Ferrari is SO common these days.
