A4 Cab - 2.5 TDi

The words "cabriolet" and "diesel" do not sit well together for me. I just think why on earth would you ever put the roof down because you're going to hear the most uninspiring and industrial sound known to man, this side of a cement mixer.
I'd rather have a passat diesel instead. More honest, and less pretentious.

I looked at one for my wife.. but as BB mentions, I couldn't do the diesel/cab equation.
they are also very pricey compared to the saloon.. the boot space is limited by the folding roof.. the back seats are not so spacious.. and the A4 will be changed next year? - so in the end didn't seem a good buy for me.

Slicing the roof off a saloon is for the 'pimp my snack' brigade.
The A4 cab seems to be overspecced by those with far more money than taste, in most cases.
And cruising with the mellifluous sounds of a German diesel engine stinking out the countryside?
Give yerself a slap, man!

Didn't see this first time out.
A friend of mine had the V6 Petrol one for a year, it was perpetually going wrong and the stealers could not for the life of them fix the problems.
Electrical problem with the display between the dials, all pixels would light, then the display would read gobbledegook. only happened intermittently so as you can imagine, never for the tech monkeys and the computer told them nothing - never fixed.
Problem with the front suspension, wore tyres unevenly and despite having most of the nearside replaced, the car still did this - again never fixed.
A few weeks ago (as soon as he was able to under the finance agreement) he handed it back and got an A3 3.2 V6 (had to have another Audi) - which he put through a hedge last week (don't think it was on purpose, but I could be wrong) thanks to his inexperience and the Audi trait of terminal understeer.
EDIT - Oh, and the S-Line suspension makes the ride crashy and uncomfortable on country roads.
