Better in whose eyes?
How do you measure whether something is 'better' or not?
Do you even know what our requirements were?

Image, looks, performance, value for money mostly
How would I?
You are quite entitled to be pleased with your new acquisition
As I am to question whether it represents a poor way to spend

Well thank goodness we're all individuals and able to make up our own minds!
I was not intending to wind you up about your purchase
At the time of posting, I was under the impression that you were making up your mind what to buy
If the car is right for you, then that's good

Alex
to the new motor ... looks lovely.
I was looking at buying ans S3 before I got my S (that sounds odd!) but decided to go for the VFM and GPM (Grins Per Mile) factor.
The BF and I were talking about these versus Golfs the other day .. he's a committed VW man (has the V5) and thinks the Audis are too pricey but I like them!!!
I wish you both health and happiness to drive it!!

Kay - not seen you on here for a while! (You missed February Fish Fingers tut tut)
We've had a few Audis in the past and I prefer them to their VW counterparts - the build quality just feels a notch above what they put into the VW, but you do pay for it as a result..
Used to have an S3 which was good fun, especially once it had been remapped
