4wd in F1 in 2008?

Should be good to see Richards back in the mix though and with Prodrives backing they should have a good team. Will be interesting to see if they can transfer their skills into the F1 style of racing rather than Endurance or Rallying.

Richards talks a good game and I'm sure Prodrive's selection has nothing to do with the fact Richards is rallying's equivalent of Bernie Ecclestone with the promotion rights owned by his company
As for credentials, I wouldn't touch Stoddart with a barge pole, but doesn't Eddie Jordan have more credibility? The man who introduced Schumacher to F1 has won grand prix and has a bit of personality to boot?
4WD is banned in F1 and has been for years, though I think a 4WD car has run in the past. If the FIA are interested in containing cornering speeds and costs as they say they are, then you can be confident it will never return.
BTW Subaru have been getting their *rses kicked in rallying lately - I'm afraid the glory days for Prodrive are a distant memory, just like Colin McRae, and my prediction is their F1 effort is going to be more of the same

Errmmm, where does it say anything about 4wd? Prodrive are NOT subaru. Prodrive 'sort' cars out, tune them etc. They do this to all sorts of makes, with all sorts of drivetrain. Subaru just happen to be a big client of theirs.

That was just a tenuous link to Prodrive and to get people to read the thread
