I'd do your research on EU Subaru imports first. Subaru UK (or International Motors) are not as helpful as Honda with imports.
I don't know if it's still the case but from my Scooby days (3-4 years ago) I remember reading that they only just honour the warranty, and will not fit the PPP, should you want it, unless you go back to the supplying dealer. I also think that you can't extend the EU warranty.
I may be completely wrong here, but I'd check it out first. Maybe DBM will be able to confirm/deny.

I do remember that issues with Scoob warranty's but I was fairly sure that Motorpoint had resolved this with IM Group / Subaru UK.

It's because unlike Honda, Subaru franchise out the UK to International Motors. They therefore have a vested interest in stopping you buying imports. Whereas with Honda UK, it's all owned by Honda at the end of the day

Hmm hadn't thought about problems with imports
Moff, I really hate the STi rear spoiler ! Not all that keen on the gold wheels either
Am hoping to get an STi for a couple of days and take it on a long trip (hereford and back) to see what its like fo rcomfort, fun, and fuel.
I saw your writeup Moff - agreed with most of it
At the moment I'm trying not to accept that the S is bad for my back

I found the fuel ecomomy a little worse to the S.
I get an average 22mpg from the S and I think with my style of driving, the Scoob would return 15-18mpg.

It'd make Rick/Muz et al weep.
Subaru are prepared to separate you from your hard-earned for all sorts of wheels/hubcaps/spoliers etc.
The end is listless!
