Default Acura Type S Concept

Acura's TLX replacement is due next year and they've released images of the car in concept form, in its sportiest iteration (Type S model). This car will have a 3.0T engine with a rumored 350-400 hp and AWD.

That is the first nice looking car (besides the NSX) they have made in a long time. Now they just need to offer a stick.

I agree. It looks great, and it should have a stick like the old RL. The question will be the power train - I'd bet some i4 hybrid ev, but I'd rather see a v6 option.

flame me but it looks like a camaro/buick to me. GM styling. I'm happy with the projected specs tho.

It's still in concept form - the actual production car will have door handles, "normal" wheel sizes, etc - but it looks sharp to me as well. It actually has real "hips", as you can see looking back along the car.

That said, the newest TLX in A-Spec form looks good as well (white with red leather and grey wheels, for instance). The first TLX design had wimpy wheel designs and a less aggressive front that didn't look the greatest.

I dont think wheels and door handles are what makes car similar in appearance. I was referring to the front bumper and hood design. Also the "hips"

Just looks like they're trying to revive the Camaro In japan.

I was commenting on the fact that this is obviously not a production vehicle and smaller wheels and door handles and real mirrors will impact the overall visuals. I have no issue with what you said.

Current TLX looks super gaudy with it's obnoxiously large grille and emblem.

This design looks way better but the Acura emblem is way way too big (and I don't give 2 shits if it's partially b/c of safety system sensors - hide them somewhere else). Not a chance in hell it has a 3 pedal option, or less than 63% of it's weight over front wheels, bleh.

Looks are subjective but weight distribution isn't. Current TLX is 61F/39R (rounding to the nearest 1) or 60F/40R, depending on the model. I doubt they're going to go backwards, especially in a car that has a longer hood, with more room between the front wheels and the windshield to offset that engine's weight...
