So what is the superperformance drivetrain and engine? Is it of original design or is it borrowed as well?
Do you have a website or price?

It's interesting how religious the cobra folks get, almost but not quite as much as the Porsche Spyder folks. They can get downright nasty when discussing various kits.

Blah blah blah...move over z06 and 911 turbo, yeah right. I'd rather have those everyday cars than a kit car with no radio, a/c, and probably no better for headaches than a jackhammer.

??? eh... i did not mean any disrespect for the other automobiles?? blah blah blah??

I just think it would be cool to have one of these... It would be a car that i wouldn't mind thrashing the crap out of on a road course week end and week out...

Oh and the no radio..not interior..no a/c... and thrashing headache would all be part of the fun of that car.. There is always something good about raw.. (though the lap of luxery is also nice at times). Not only that this car is extremely lightweight... meaning incredibly tossible..

For everyone who says that the z06 is a value (though it is) has not checked this baby out... for under 20 grand you aren't going to touch this thing on a road course, drag strip, or much anything else for that matter unless you buy a motorcycle.
It also has some of that old school nostalgia and sex appeal to it.

Many of the kitcars sound great on paper, but when it comes to building them, and maintaining them, I think most are a nightmare. From what I have seen (i did attempt to sell Westfield Kitcars for a few months), it looks like you have to be really committed (and creative) in order to complete some of these kits. Resale sucks donkey's balls, and I doubt any of them are really very reliable.

a guy spent 300+ hours working on my Lotus Super 7 kit before I canned that. Another guy who decided to do it himself (i think he lives in Oregon) spent close to 300 hours to finally get his together and it is not any faster than his lotus elise (which weighs 700lbs more), and it leaks oil here, and there and everywhere.

If you go with the turn-key versions of these, the depreciation is probably 40% if you can even find someone to buy it.

Just my opinion..... I am not even sure how kitcar places stay in business unless their margins are 80%. I don't think there are too many people beating down the doors to buy these things.?

Unfortunatly I don't think you are going to build that car for anywhere near 20 grand.
