Your thoughts on Saab 9-2X?
what do you think about the Saan 9-2X?
its basically a upgraded impreza wagon, with a upgraded price tag.
the price difference is about $4k, in return 9-2X gives you a sunroof, leather interior, 17" rims, better sound proves cabin (i suppose), 2 yr free scheduled maintenance ...
too bad they don't offer sunroof in WRX wagon, that would save me a lot of headache

everything ive read indicates the saab is a better car...problems were fixed and supposedly the road feel and the like is more responsive...and i dont think its an issue of not wanting to drive a japanese car, i think its an issue of GM wanting profit...saab needed a new car..subaru had an awsome one to start with..gm and saab agree to "share"...saab has new car that is supposedly better than the original

i think for the current price difference (online, haven't go to the dealer yet), Legacy GT Limited is a better buy.
but if saab is wheeling and dealing, then i might consider a 9-2X turbo (WRC wagon with sunroof) ...
i still want a japanese car instead of a european one
haven't heard much about saab's reliability though

I wonder why car manufacturers cross brands and help each other out. Why would Subaru help Saab? Do they get a cut of the profits as well?
Does anyone remember the Subaru Blitzen B4? Porsche helped Suby design a Legacy that had Porsche styling cues. Decent looking car, but I've always wanted to know why Porsche wanted to be associated with Subaru.

From what I understand many of the improvments on the Saabaru are included on the 2005 WRX. Steering rack, center consol, suspension, etc. I think magazine articles that said it has dynamic advantages over the WRX were comparing it to the older Impreza.
That said, I consider this the premium package WRX. HID, sunroof, leather, more sound deadening material. If it's true that Saab dealers are ready to discount, I'd definitely consider one. Is there an option for a roof rack?
