my roommate (college) says he wouldn't drive the 600hp beast - the V8 Vantage:

he'd rather stick to his '97 ford taurus:

Sure the F2002 is badass but look at the streetcars. Read this article all the way through.

You think 1 example of a failure leads to all Ferrari's being bad or worse yet - Italian car technology lagging behind the rest of the world???

What would that say for the S2000 and the problems we read about here?

I am not bashing Honda, I think they build great cars....hell I bought 2 and am probably going to buy a third. I am not here to say that Italian technology is better or worse, I just do not believe in blanket statements. That article in no way proved that Italian car technology is lagging, in fact it had no bearing on me...ask yourself this question...

If someone handed you the keys to a 550 and said, btw, the oil pressure gauge is a known problem, would you hesitate? Me....not for one second, just like I did not hesitate to buy the S2000 even AFTER I read about all it's known problems - does that make this Japanese car lagging in technology????

PS...I think the 550 probably has more F1 technology in it than the S2000...so I would say that F1 technology is finding it's way into Italian streetcars.

PPS...seemed to me also that the dealer was more than helpful....can we say the same about Honda????

Hey, I agree I would take the Ferrari. It is a badass car with huge performance. But it really boggles my mind how many problems these guys have had with it. I would be absolutely livid if I just dropped a quarter of a million on a car and it has been in the shop how many times? In only 1800 miles? And these are not just little nits, we are talking dead on the road, send a towtruck problems.

Hey, its a car...a high performance car, if you are not ready to live with problems, you bought the wrong car - even if it cost you $250K.

Don't you think the S2000 has more problems and more expensive than a civic???

BTW, I only read 1 problem...the oil pressure gauge ...I would rather have this than problems like we have seen on the S2000, where the engine fails....
