LOL

Ricers are just cocky people, I've noticed that the mustang is becoming more and more the american rice "idol". I don't like evos or stis or civics or whatever because they just appear to be poorly built, out of aluminum and stuff, take the s2000 and the miata for example those are just deathboxes, they require forced induction to keep up with any cars with large displacement (and that are usually heavier as well). Granted you can make a good deal of power on those motors, more than required for street use but whatever people like it, and the engineering is very well done as well. I have opened up to them more, but of course I am biased so whatever. Also in your defense I do like seeing the cocky person put in his place, gj.

Symptom of what bothered me in Z06 forums too. No appreciation for fine automobiles of all stripes.

Yes...some people are blinded by the badge on the front of their car.

I won't disagree with him on the fact that ricers are cocky.. and so are some domestic owners. It's the group that is not on either end of the spectrum, the middle of the road guys, that really get my respect. Those are the people that are automobile enthusiasts and that appreciate any car for what it is, instead of turning it into a pissing contest.

Exactly. I love running with a trans am or Z28 that is driven by an ethusiast. Even though the LS1's stock will walk away from me it's still enjoyable to see them take off and then get a thumbs up later. I do the same for any stock LT1 that I get to take down (here come the LT1 guys now).

You have to realize that everyone has different tastes and you can't get worked up if somoeones opinion of a nice car differs from yours. As far as the slow 4 banger is considered, I just show them the video from my race with the Viper against my Talon.
