Hopefully, soccer moms will ditch their 5,000lbs SUVs, switch to smaller cars/minivans.

My wife, volleyball mom, is driving a Suburban, and it gets about 2.5 mpg worse mileage than the minivan that preceded it. If you are going to make the change for gas mileage, it needs to be more radical than SUV to minivan. That was our quandry at the time. We needed the space, but the minivans and crossovers got about the same mileage as the Suburban, so there was really no incentive to go smaller.
