ewwww. i think it is a step back as well. the current design of the lancer looks much better IMO.

my guess is they wanted a way to differentiate it from the EVO VIII so they just threw something together.

I actually like it. Its better than the big chrome grill in the current Lancer.
When is the face lift going into production?

To me, the car doesn't have any personality. It could be a Mitsu, it could be a Mazda, a Honda, Pontiac, Ford, whatever. (Not a Ferrari or Porsche, though. )
