Despite the WRX's weird headlights, I'd pick the WRX. Subaru builds a more balanced chassis than the EVO. In Japan right now I'm all confused. There's an EVO 7 GSR, EVO 7 RS and now a new automatic EVO 7!!!

i like the new styling of the civic...and the engine of the type-R but the civic is the car you see wherever you go....and the type of car that ricers ruin.

Anyone know if they are importing the full spec evo7?? (meaning the 280+hp)

If it is detuned like the wrx here now....will it still a hot car??

Nobody knows. Lots of rumors. Anywhere from 250-320 hp. The car in Japan has about 300 hp, but the US is making Mitsu move the front mounted intercooler which will likely nerf off 20-30 hp, plus the usual 5-10 hp for emissions. So I would expect about 260-280 to make it to the shores. That is pure speculation on my part, of course.

The WRX is not detuned per se - the version that competes against the Evo7 is the WRX Sti, which also sports 290-300 hp in Japan. The Sti took a pretty big hit in HP when it went to the UK though, so who knows what we'll get.

Listen to Tiff Needel! Go with the Subaru WRX Sti If i had the choice of one or the other i would pick the Subaru cause i like how it looks but if you want something brand new and fresh onto the states then the EVO VII would do the job.
