My moms miata is a 98.It has plenty of punch and no they are not as stiff as the S2000 atleast thats the impression i got.

ummm... last time I saw a 350Z it didn't have 4 doors or 4 seats!
I need to find an Elise to drive to experience the real lightweight fun...
I'm sure that would make the S2k and Miata feel ponderous.
Porsches aren't THAT heavy. The Boxter and 996 are a little - not a lot heavier than the S2000.

Not to mention the extreme weight bias to the rear.
Hell, the engine is mounted behind the rear axle. It's amazing how Porsche can get them to handle the way they do, with the old-school MacPherson struts.
