um, you "love" the Corolla? WTF?!? "Level of sophistication and depth of knowledge?" You bought a 2 seat roadster for the winter, and now winter is over, you are dumping it in the middle of summer for an 07 Mustang GT? Either you are trolling, or you will kill yourself before the snow melts again.

No. The Mustang is just a poor-man's muscle car (and I'd rather have an Evo). The S2000 is a real sporting machine.

No way I would make that trade... I test drove an '06 Mustang GT before I bought my S, and the only thing I liked about it was the power and sound of the engine. Everything else was pure crap in my opinion, especially the interior, which looked like it was pieced together by a 2-year old.
I did the same, and agree 100%. I even rented the convertible for a week, and wished I'd rented a Miata instead. The Mustang is an OK car, but IMO it doesn't remotely compare to the S, unless you're looking for a cheap baseline vehicle to modify cheaply for straightline speed.

My answer: <expletive> NO!

Thanks for all your input. I was hoping someone would slap some sense into me!

I might still test-drive a GT this weekend but I have a feeling I will just hang onto the S2K. Perhaps I will take some driving classes so I can better appreciate what I have

Ok, view point from a Mustang freak. S2K is a much better car but also a completely different kind of car. Can't even put the two in the same class. Since you already have a DD for the winter, just put a blower on the S and call it a day. BR Performance is working on one that will give the S what it needs the most, TORQUE!!!

My advice, go drive a Mustang and then decide. If you like it, buy it!!! Who cares what other people think. It's your money not theirs. I heard the same crap when I told my Stang buddies that I was buying a S2K. You see what car I'm driving, a S2K.

No for two reasons:

1) The S2000 is just a better car.

2) You'll take two big hits financially. They won't give you that much for the S and your new 'Stang will depreciate faster.

A lot faster!!! S2K holds it's value much better.
