Another great choice. I have considered an atom many times. If I didn't also ride I would definitely have one. Has anyone on here driven one (and which version)?

I needed a couple days on the couch after that one. When I got the hose off, it was in really good shape, probably would have lasted another 50k easy.

I looked at used values for SW20's the other day. Few to be had and some people with nice examples wanting close to 20k for cars with 200,000 miles on them. Makes for a really expensive project but I have lots of time to think about it.
Back in like 2009 I almost bought a grey 60k mile example, all original on great shape for 6k. I didnt do it, I shouldve, oh well. Had a feeling these would eventually go up in value. But I'd never want to work on one.

Well, almost like a Ferrari, it is almost easiest to do an engine out service. The timing belt is a major pain too, but they are reliable except for a couple places of know oil leakage that are fairly easy to fix, the the hose from hell and the son of the hose from hell, and timing belt.

Buy drive the snot out of it, and at 100k spend a few thou in maintenance. 100,000 miles would be about 15 years of driving a second car.

Two problems, Arai's don't fit my big fat head as the are too round shaped, but I do have a closet full of helmets. Second, the Atom is cool and all but too impractical for me to take seriously. If I were a jillionaire, yes, but not as a third car I want to get some semi-regular use out of.
