If you have the money, willing to trade up, not interested in working on it, want the bling factor, want to impress your family/friends/everyone else get the Ferrari.
If your a more practical spender, want to keep the car, want to work on it sometimes, want 'some' bling, want to impress only the people who know what it is and yourself at the same time then get the GT3.
To an unaccomplished driver the Ferrari will feel like a all our race car. To the accomplished driver, the GT3 will feel more like an all out race car.
Both cars are bad ass. Reminds me of the Evo vs. S2k posts we see from time to time. No lie the Ferrari shock and awe factor from crowds are crazy. The Porsche is def. low key.
Right now I could afford a GT3, but def. not a Ferrari.
If i could afford a Ferrari you can best be sure i'd have a GT3 sitting right next to it. ;-)

Insurance is actually quite cheap if used "for pleasure only". I think it is $800 per six months or so on a multuple car insurance.
I keep the car in the Catskill mountains and impress very few people (most think it is the new Mustang anyway). On my weekend trip through the mountains I see 6 cars per 60 miles.
Actually, the Elise turned more heads.
When people see me I usually drive the S2000

I know a couple people selling GT3s with the ceramic brake package or whatnot that MSRP was around 125 and they being sold for 132-135.

75k 5k miles
I would say the used 360 is well beyond the price of a new or used GT3.
I would just get the 996 for half the price of the 997.

BTW, the prancing horse on the Ferrari is the same as the prancing horse on a Porsche.

The "F430" link is to a 996 upgrade, not a Ferrari upgrade.
