I'll put in for the is300 as well. My wife bought one and I think it's a lot of fun, really comfortable, and of course should be ridiculously reliable. Drove a G35 to compare and it was nice, but felt too big for me. Of course I seem to like tiny sports cars...

And get a sportcross! Sport wagons rule.

What's your budget?

What other cars are in your household?

Hey Phoenix, our cars are in my signature. Since I got my S as a weekend thing, I just can't stop driving it and it has made my Maxima seem sooooo boring. I can usually only go a little over 2 years in my every day car before the auto industry makes so many awesome cars that I snap and end up getting a new car (ala TL, S4, C32, CTS-V the list goes on)!! I wished I could give my wife the Maxima and take her Allroad but she is smarter than that. I have never been a fan of the IS 300, performance is awesome and capable, just don't like the looks. I think right now if I had to choose a 30-40k sedan (Japan, auto/tiptron.) it would be between the G35 and the TL, with the TL getting the nod.

Thanks for all of the input and suggestions. As for the RX-8, I didn't realize that you couldn't get the bigger engine in an auto. I wish that Mazda would have brought back the "real" RX-7 as a 4-door, that would be worth the dough!!

I see. I'd probably choose the TL, which looks like a nice counterpoint to the S2000 at a reasonable price.

The RX8 auto and manual have the same engine, just different HP. I REALLY wouldn't recommend buying one. I test drove one, great handling, great design ect. The bad part is people have had a lot of problems with them and the gas mileage is just HORRIBLE!! People are getting as low as below 12MPG. 12.5MPG seems to be about right. Even if you don't mind the extra $ for gas, you'll mind being at the gas station every 2 days. You also have to check the oil every second fill-up. Burn pleanty of oil.

Rotary = Great in theory, horrible in reality.

I think the new Pontiac GTO looks promising. I guess it depends on what you want out of your car. They are really fast and much better built then the majority of other GM models.

Have you seen the new Acura TL? Check it out. I've had a number of Acura's and you can't beat the reliability, luxury, performance and....the best service department around. If they have to have your car more than 3 hours, they give you a car to use and best of all, you're treated like a king.
