Saki makes a lot of great points.
Hopefully by the UAW owning a portion of the company, they will step up their efforts since now they are tied to the company's success.
The UAW has already stated it plans to sell its equity in GM asap - not much of a vote of confidence when GM's own union doesn't want to own GM, just bleed it dry.

nah, I think my vette is the last one I'll own.

I hope they succeed, but with a 31 year old (almost) college graduate at the helm, and after having defrauded so many investors I dont have much hope for gm. It will end up a bloated, jacked up mess like anything else the government touches

GM didn't defraud investors. Obama's people did that.

Nope, won't buy a new Government Motors vehicle. I may not be able to vote with my tax dollars but I can vote with my wallet.

I never have and never will own a GM vehicle... and I dont believe that anything is going to pull GM out of the toilet at this point.

If they build a solid product that fits my criteria, yes I would. Never say never.

The Corvette is about the only car in the GM lineup I would solidly consider, but only as a replacement for my S.

However, I love my S and don't see myself giving it up anytime soon
